Troubleshooting

My image is not full width, or smaller than I expect

If your image is showing quite small, it may be that there are paragraph tags around it.

To remove the paragraph tags:

  1. Select the image
  2. Click "Formats" in the toolbar
  3. Select "Blocks," and click "Paragraphs" from the menu

That will remove the paragraph tag and your image should show at the proper width.

I made a change to my navigation but don't see it on the published website

Your navigation usually shows up on all the pages of your website. Your entire site folder must be published for the changes to appear throughout the site.

I made a change to my webpage or I replaced a PDF but I don't see my updated content on the published website

If you don't see your change try "F5" on your keyboard or reload the page/PDF. You can also try a different browser or computer. If you still don't see it try republishing the page or PDF.

I can't edit my main Faculty and Staff listing page

The main Faculty and Staff listing pages are built dynamically. The content is pulled from the individual faculty and staff pages. Thus, changes are made by editing individual faculty and staff pages. Once you have made the desired changes, publish the entire Faculty and Staff folder. This will update the main Faculty and Staff page.

XML error preventing Submit

Text copied and pasted into the Cascade editor from a Microsoft product, including Word and other Office suite programs. can result in an error when attempting to Submit content. Often, the following error will be returned:

['Invalid XML: The prefix "o" for element "o:p" is not bound']

To rectify this issue, text copied from a Microsoft product should first be pasted into a new Notepad file (a plain text editor on computers running Windows). This will remove any extraneous tags attached to the text.

Users can also paste the desired text into Cascade using the "Paste as Text" function. Select Edit from the toolbar in the Cascade editor and select "Paste as Text."
