Add a video to a webpage
If you have a video you would like on your webpage, it first needs to be uploaded to a YouTube channel.
To have it uploaded to the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV YouTube channel, please contact websuggest@uwinnipeg.ca. We will ask you to share it with us via Dropbox or another file-sharing method.
1. After it has been uploaded to YouTube go to the video in YouTube and click on the share icon

2. Click on "Embed"
3. Copy the embed code
4. Find the page in Cascade where you want to embed the video and click "Edit."
5. Once in edit mode go to where you want to embed the video in the page and click on the "Insert/edit media" icon.

6. In the next window click on "Embed" and paste the code you have copied there
7. YouTube will give the video a generic title of just "YouTube video Player" change this to the title and include "video" or "Youtube video" at the end. So for example "What will you study? YouTube video" Be sure to keep the quotation marks.
For accessibility purposes we want to include both the title and the platform it is in which is why we change it to "What will you study? YouTube video"
8. Now click on the "General" tab and change the dimensions to 758 x make sure "Constrain proportions"is checked and the height will automatically adjust.
9. Click "Ok" then submit your page and publish.
