Three Panel Features
In order to create a Three Panel Slider feature, you must have access to image editing tools or send images to websuggest@uwinnipeg.ca for editing.
Images must be cropped to the appropriate size (262 pixels wide by 150 pixels high) and be optimized for web. If desired, images can be larger than 150 pixels in height, but the image dimensions should remain uniform. For example, if one image is 262 pixels wide by 200 pixels high, each subsequent image should also be 200 pixels in height. Uniformity is key in order to ensure the slider functions properly. In addition, no image for a Three Panel Slider should exceed 150 KB.
Once images are created, they should be uploaded to a website's images folder. For organization, you may want to create a "features" subfolder within your "images" folder.
Note: You must have a least three feature items in a Three Panel Slider and each item must link to a webpage.
To create a Three Panel Slider:
- Select the page you wish to add a Three Panel Slider to and select "Edit."
- Locate the "3 Panel Slider" radio button and select "Yes."
- Choose your panel position – "Top" or "Bottom." The former will make the slider appear above the main content but below any slideshow images. The latter will place the slider after the main content area.
- Now fill in the details. See image below.
- Repeat the above step for the two remaining slides.
- Slides can be added with the green "+" and removed with the red "-"
- Slides can be repositioned using the blue arrows.
Once you are happy with you slides publish your page.
