Getting Started

Click on any question below to expand.

1. How to access Nexus?

You can access Nexus site , or go to the Nexus website:

2. I'm a first-year student and I can't log in.

If this is your first time accessing Nexus, please wait until closer to the scheduled start date of your course to log in. If the start date has passed and you are still unable to log in, contact Student Central or your academic program's Registration office to verify that you are enrolled and that you are using the correct login credentials. For more information see the answer to, "I am a student: why can't I log into Nexus?"

First-year students: After registration for this Academic year, you should have received a notice in the mail with your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Webmail e-mail address and a temporary password. You must first "activate" this account.

Additional information about this account.

Note: If you have lost/misplaced the info for this temporary account, you may need to reset your password. For assistance, contact the Technology Service Desk.

3. I can't log in.

Use your regular University e-mail address and password.
One common reason why you are unable to log in is that the e-mail address and/or password were entered incorrectly. Try to log in again using your full ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV e-mail address, and remember this and/or your password may be case-sensitive. If you were using a password manager to sign in, make sure to retry your password by entering it manually instead. Alternatively, you may be unable to log in due to an expired password and you will have to reset your passwordContact the Technology Service Desk if additional assistance is needed with resetting your password.

4. I registered for my course after the first day of class and I can't log in.

If you registered late, it may take a day or two before you are entered into the system and given access to your Nexus course site.

5. I don't see the course I expect.

If you are sure that you should be enrolled in a Nexus course (e.g. the course is being delivered entirely online through Nexus, or the instructor of your in-person course has said that they would be posting some course materials on Nexus), there are a few reasons you may not be able to see or access the course in Nexus:

  1. The course has not yet started.
  2. The course ended more than 30 days ago.
  3. Your registration was processed within the last day. All new registrations are processed overnight so it will take at least 24 hours to gain access to your Nexus course after you register for a new course.
