Practicum Information
Spring Practicum
- Direct-entry students must complete a spring practicum at Red River College Polytech after completing the core year in the Developmental Studies Program.
- Students with 2+ years of daycare experience are exempt from the spring practicum.
- The practicum runs from the end of April to early May to around mid-June. Four weeks of this block are spent at the work site, and the remaining time is spent in preparation at the beginning, curriculum activities, meetings, and debriefing.
- Student must apply to RRCP as a regular student in order to be eligible to apply for the practicum.

Applying for Spring Practicum
Step 1: General Admission
To apply for the Spring Practicum (taking place in Year 2, Spring), students must first apply for the full-time Year 3 admission at RRCP. Admission can be completed online, by mail, or in person, and a registration fee of $95 is required. An official transcript must be submitted.
Deadline: Students should apply by the end of January, as placements are finalized in February.
Step 2: Indicate Program
When applying, please specify that you are in the Developmental Studies program - Stream C at the University of ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV.
