Welcome to The University of ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV
Centrally located in the heart of downtown, The University of ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV is a thriving community of approximately 10,000 students — noted for academic excellence, Indigenous scholarship, environmental commitment, small class sizes and campus diversity. In addition to offering undergraduate degree programs in arts, business and economics, science, and kinesiology, ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV also offers a number of pre-professional and unique graduate studies programs.
The institution is known for its personal feel and the connections made between students and professors, and among students. This comes from our smaller class sizes (average student to instructor ratio of 25:1) and the reputation of our caring and passionate faculty members. ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV also provides some undergraduate research opportunities, which are often associated with the graduate studies level at many universities.
With the third-lowest tuition in Canada, ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV delivers a high quality education at an affordable rate — and Minnesota students will pay the same fees as Canadian students thanks to a special agreement between the Province of Manitoba and the State of Minnesota. In fact, tuition, fees, supplies and health insurance for Minnesota residents will be approximately $5,985 to $6,615 USD per year (based on the 2025-26 academic year, at an exchange rate of .73, excluding room and board).“ ). We also accept the U.S. Direct Loan Program (FAFSA).
General admissions requirements: Complete grade 12 (senior year) with an average of C+ or better on a minimum of 5 academic subjects. SAT/ACT scores are not required for current high school students; however, homeschooled students will need to provide SAT/ACT scores.
Many science and business programs require a university-entrance level of senior year math (pre-calculus, for example), and some science courses require senior level chemistry.
